oh my giddy aunt page 3

The Doctor turned to walk away when he heard it. The four knocks. And this time he knew for sure it was all over. Wilfred, it turns out, was trapped in one of the radiation units.

‘Hello?’ called Wilf, ‘Can you let me out? It’s a bit stuffy in here,’

‘No, sorry. I can’t. Because you know something?’ asked the Doctor. ‘I’m more important than you. I’m the Time Lord Victorious. I can do more yet. SO MUCH MORE! Whereas you…well, you’re old anyway and not the slightest bit important,’

‘You’re right, I suppose. Man like me, I’ll probably die soon anyway,’

‘Well, exactly. Look at you. You have hardly any life left. Whereas I could do so much,’ he observed. ‘So why does it have to come down to this? IT’S NOT FAIR..!

This isn't a song I want to end yet
No song for the yet-to-die
I’m not going to let a new man just swan off
I’m going to have this body forever
Until I regenerate of old age

It's my life
Death can come later
I’m not going to live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My hearts are like the TARDIS’s
Like Rose said
This body can’t go away
I just wanna live while I'm alive
It's my life

This is for the ones who travelled with me
For Martha and Mickey who decided to leave me
Today’s getting harder make no mistake
Luck ain't even lucky
Got to make your own breaks
It's my life
Death can come later
I’m not going to live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My hearts are like the TARDIS’s
Like Rose said
This body can’t go away
I just wanna live while I'm alive
It's my life

(The Doctor shot a glance at Wilf, realizing what he must do)
Better stand tall when he’s calling out
Don't leave him, don't go, don't let him suffer

It's my life
Death will have to come now
I’m not going to live forever
I’m lucky to live while I'm currently alive
(It's my life)
I have two hearts rather than one
Like Captain Jack said
You know what happens next
I will still live after I’ve died
It's my life
Death will have to come now
I’m not going to live forever
I’m lucky to live while I'm currently alive
(It's my life)
I have two hearts rather than one
Like Captain Jack said
You know what happens next
I will still live after I’ve died
It's my life,’           (30)

The Doctor opened the door to the other radiation unit, ignoring Wilf’s protests as he stepped inside and closed the door. The stage went dark as the Doctor screamed in agony. The lights went back up to reveal a golden corral background. The Doctor was stood, arms outstretched as holographic regeneration energy surrounded him.

Normally I try to run
And I might even want to hide
Because I never really wanted
To regenerate in this incarnation
And I am alone
As this body is about to die
You have no idea how I feel for this incarnation’s life

I don't want to go
I don’t want to go
I don’t want to go
Go? No, no, no, no          (31)

The holographic regeneration energy erupted around the stage as the 10th Doctor sneaked off-stage, to be replaced moments later by an actor playing the 11th Doctor.

Legs – I’ve still got legs!
Fingers – A lot of fingers!
Eyes - a body with still two of them!
Hair – I think I might be a woman!
‘No. No, not a woman,’ Muttered the Doctor.

'My Doctor’s life has involved a lot of time travel,’ said River. ;But none more complicated than his love life with me. You’re in for some real spoilers, sweeties,’

Two actors playing Amy and Rory Pond walked on-stage, the background behind them now showing a control room of a more orangey desktop theme, with wooden stairs leading off in various directions and a circular structure surrounding the time rotor in the middle. The Doctor was now sat on a sofa to the right of the stage, looking up as Amy and Rory approached him.

‘So, let me get this straight. River is our daughter and our childhood friend at the same time,’ Rory asked. ‘How does that work?’

‘Time travel. Keep up, Rory. Paradoxes aren’t that uncommon, you know. They’re just big annoying things that tend to get repetitive after a while,’ the Doctor replied.

‘Everything’s always about time travel with you, isn’t it? Why can’t we just go somewhere and have a normal day out with normal things happening to us, with nothing even the slightest bit complicated happening?’  he moaned.

‘Because that would be boring,’ said the Doctor, wrinkling his nose in disgust.

‘Then what do you suggest, Doctor? Because I really don’t fancy being chased by flying salt and pepper shakers all the time,’ asked Amy.

‘What do I suggest, Mrs Pond?’

The Doctor began to smile.

‘I suggest the Time Warp,’
