oh my giddy aunt page 2

Donna travelled with the Doctor for a short time and they quickly became best friends.  She sought to travel alongside him forever but like with Rose and Martha before her, that was not to be,’ spoke River.

A worried look began to spread across Donna’s face as the Doctor placed two hands on either side of her head.

‘What are you doing?’ Donna panicked, sensing something was about to happen.

‘Donna…

When I meet people on my travels
It’s obvious that many of you are strong
And have pretty much wonderful reactions
To some of the things the universe has to offer outside your solar system

Many of my companions tell me that they’re amazed that at a time of real desperate measures
I work alongside those I encounter
To help those in need of help against the threats of the universe

But I also meet people who are forced to leave or disagree with my lifestyle
Because I couldn’t stop the death and destruction
Because I couldn’t stop the death and destruction
Above all the destruction
Will be your memory of me
And to you
I say this

You may have decided before you became DoctorDonna
That we would travel together forever
That we would travel together forever
It’s a decision understandable with the best time/space ship in the universe
The best time/space ship in the universe
But it’s best not to made an assumption when you’re travelling with someone who has as unpredictable a life as mine

I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m so so sorry
There’s no easy way to say it
I’m sorry

I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m so so sorry
There’s no easy way to say it
I’m sorry
I’m sorry

When something happens to a companion’s life, I hold my hands up
But when your race does something terrible, we hold our hands up
Until they learn from their mistakes.
When we have to say our goodbyes, I hold my hands up
And that’s what I will do

I except that I won’t be able to travel alone forever
But I owe it to you
I learnt that I always need a companion
And inviting someone along is what I will do

I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m so so sorry
There’s no easy way to say it
I’m sorry

I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m so so sorry
There’s no easy way to say it
I’m sorry

I’m sorry
We’re sorry
We’re sorry
Me and the TARDIS are sorry
There’s no easy way to say it
We’re sorry

We’re sorry
We’re sorry
We’re sorry
Me and the TARDIS are sorry
There’s no easy way to say it
We’re sorry          (28)

Donna collapsed onto the ground in a way that suggested somewhere, deep in the mind of Donna Noble, a part of her was possibly long gone forever. The Doctor knelt down and, wiping tears from his face, picked her up.

‘It wasn’t until the Christmas of 2009 that the Doctor found himself in need of a new body,’ River said as a new actor playing the Master (this time with white hair) walked on-stage, alongside actors playing Time Lords and Rassilon. A startling bright light flashed over the area Rassilon, the Master and the Time Lords were stood in. The light disappeared to show they were on-stage no more. The Doctor looked around triumphantly, pleased that he had seemingly managed to avoid his prophesised fate.

I’m still the Doctor of the TARDIS, pointing out the Sonic
Running dramatically in a long coat and the skinniest body
Has a long adventure, defeats the little pepperpots
Companions appreciate my friendliness
Everybody loves my Doctor
Even Michael Grade
But nothing stops the danger
The Sontarans don’t want a peaceful life!

Doctor of the TARDIS, Time Lord Victorious
Ready to hammer at the console of a TARDIS or two
Eating the bananas, belting out the “whats”
Putting on a gas mask, pretending to be empty
Everybody loves my Doctor
Everybody's charming friend
I do whatever to protect
Allons-y! I hope this incarnation never ends

Doctor of the TARDIS, quick to catch yer Madam De Pompedour
Never wants a Midnight entity to impersonate his life
Friend to the brave, pain to the evil
Friend, enemy, and complete madman!
Everybody’s ideal companion
Everybody's traveller
But keep away your mothers
Blimey! Don’t their smacks hurt a load!

Run away from Davros , make a bus fly
Asking the Master not to die
Here Victorian London, there New Earth
My Sonic Screwdriver comes in handy
When I am solving situations
There are a lot of settings it has
How it all unscrews, all them nuts and bolts
Brilliant! It's amazing how the Sonic works!

Everybody bless my Doctor!
Everybody hate my enemies!
Everybody raise a glass to the Doctor of the TARDIS          (29)
